WOMEN AND MODESTY GLOBAL INITIATIVE ADVOCATES DECENCY AT GIRL CHILD AND MODESTY CONFERENCE

LAGOS, NIGERIA –
The Women and Modesty Global Initiative, a non-governmental organization committed to promoting moral values and positive societal development, recently hosted a conference themed “The Girl Child and Modesty” at the University of Lagos.
Speaking during the opening session, the host and founder of the initiative, Ambassador Mrs. Emelda Ahunna Osuji, popularly known as “Madam Modesty,” underscored the importance of promoting decent dressing and moral values among young women. She stressed the need for society, parents, educators, and community leaders to encourage girls and women to embrace modesty as a virtue that enhances dignity, self-respect, and positive social engagement.
The event attracted a diverse audience, including students, professionals, entertainers, community leaders, and advocates of youth development. The conference featured insightful discussions, entertainment, and recognition of individuals who have made notable contributions to society.
Popular television personality and master of ceremonies, Dr. Champion, energized the audience with his trademark wit and engaging presentation style. Guests were also entertained by renowned comedians, including MOG Akpors, Big Mickey, Dr. Possible, and Tina Black, who added humor and excitement to the occasion.
Musical performances by Golden Angel, Debbie Salami, and Tobi Vibes further enlivened the event, providing moments of inspiration and celebration.
Among the distinguished guests in attendance were Don Pedro Aganbi, veteran actress Ngozi Nwosu, Mary Edward, SP Chidi Okoye, actress Amandla Ebeye, and Ambassador Cornell Udofia.
A major highlight of the conference was the presentation of awards to outstanding individuals in recognition of their contributions to community development, entertainment, leadership, and social advocacy.
Award recipients included HRM Oba Abraham Olatunji Ogabi, Dr. Champion Mike, Ambassador Cornell Udofia, Amandla Ebeye, Ngozi Nwosu, Dr. Hakeem Rahman, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Ochije, Chief Victor Chukwra and Lolo, Christian Egbeji, Big Mickey, and several others.
The Women and Modesty Global Initiative reaffirmed its commitment to promoting modesty, empowering the girl child, and fostering values that contribute to a more responsible and morally conscious society.
