It was really a historic and memorable moment when AIG Adegoke Fayoade in charge of Zone 2 Police Command Headquarters presented the prestigious merit award to ASP Aminat Mayegun, PRO of Force Criminal Investigation Department FCID Alagbon Ikoyi Lagos at National Media Community Awards 2025. She was honored as the most resourceful Public Relations Officer of the year.
AIG Adegoke Fayoade recognized her professionalism and passion in the discharge of her duties and encouraged her to do more for the Nigeria Police Force.

ASP Aminat Mayegun holds a Master's Degree in Criminology, Security and Legal Psychology from Lagos State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
ASP Aminat Mayegun is an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and currently serves as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annexe in Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos.
She is noted as the first female to hold this particular PPRO position.
In her role as the spokesperson for the FCID Annexe, Mayegun is the official contact point for the media and public, providing updates on high-profile cases, investigations, and arrests carried out by the department.
She has been the public face for several notable investigations, including those involving alleged police extortion, cyberstalking, the forging of police character certificates, and the alleged misappropriation of funds donated for Nollywood actor Mr. Ibu's medical treatment.
