AIG OLOHUNDARE JIMOH FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM FAITHFULS AND CHILDREN, ASSURES LAGOS AND OGUN STATES RESIDENCE OF ADEQUATE SECURITY
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in Charge of Zone 2 Zonal Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, comprising Lagos and Ogun States, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh has extended a warm and hearty felicitations to Muslim faithfuls and Children across Lagos and Ogun States on the joyous celebration of Eid El Kabir and Children’s Day respectively while also assuring adequate safety and water tight security throughout the period of the celebrations.
The AIG described Eid El Kabir as a sacred season that symbolizes sacrifice, obedience, love, peace and unity. He urged residents of both states to imbibe the virtues of tolerance, compassion and mutual coexistence as exemplified by the Prophet. In the same vein, he equally celebrates the Children of our beloved Country, describing them as the leaders of tomorrow whose protection, welfare, moral guidance and ethical upbringing must remain a dedicated responsibility.
AIG Olohundare Jimoh has assured residents of Lagos and Ogun States that the Zone 2 Headquarters, in synergy with the Commissioners of Police, Lagos and Ogun States Police Commands, have put in place proactive and water tight security measures to forestall the breakdown of law and order while also ensuring a peaceful and hitch free celebration across the two states.
The AIG has equally directed the Commissioners of Police of the two States under the Zone to intensify visibility policing and patrol, intelligence gathering, traffic decongestion in order to ensure maximum protection of lives and property before, during and after the celebration.
While wishing Muslim Faithfuls and the Children a fulfilling Eid El Kabir and memorable Children’s Day celebrations respectively, AIG Olohundare Jimoh called on members of the public to remain law abiding and security conscious.
