NATIONAL POLICE DAY, 2026:
ZONE 2 COMMAND HEADQUARTERS SET TO PARTICIPATE
The Nigeria Police Force, Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos is pleased to inform the general public, especially the residents of Lagos and Ogun States of its readiness to participate in a series of activities marking the forthcoming National Police Day 2026 scheduled to hold from Monday, 30th of March to Tuesday, 7th of April, 2026.
In furtherance to this programme, a week−long series of activities has been rolled out in line with the directives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc(+), NPM for the celebration themed: “Community Partnership: Building Trust”.
The theme reflects the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the public, while promoting transparency, accountability and trust which are core values of effective policing.
The programme is set to feature the following activities:
Day 1: Monday, 30th March 2026
Sanitization and cleaning of the Zone 2 Command and its environs
Medical Outreach for members of the public
Day 2: Tuesday, 31st March 2026
Walkathon
Day 3: Wednesday, 1st of April 2026
Sensitization of members of the public on the prevention of electoral violence and ballot snatching
Sensitization of drivers on safe driving practices
Day 4: Thursday, 2nd of April 2026
Presentation of Cheques to families of deceased officers
Grand Finale: Tuesday, 7th of April 2026 (Abuja)
Ceremonial displays and Tactical display
The Zone 2 command enjoins members of the public to participate in this series of activities and collaborate with the Police as we build stronger partnerships and a safer society.
